Soliyarn's Biggest Impact: Future of Textile Dyeing
Soliyarn’s Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) innovation presents a compelling candidate for sustainable textile dyeing. Dyeing exclusively uses water in processing, and run-offs from dyeing into water bodies is a plague of our time. Our water free technology platform can use vaporized chemicals to efficiently impart colors on textiles, which will revolutionize the industry.

PROGRESS AND FUTURE PLAN
Our progress so far
We have adapted Soliyarn’s CVD process to perform solvent-free dyeing on cotton, nylon, and polyester with an initial color palette. Like our conductive and water-repellent coatings, these dyed prototypes exhibit excellent crocking resistance.
Our future plans
Soliyarn is expanding our dyeing compatibility with recycled textile materials, such as denim, while expanding our line of available pigments. All of our colors are made using identical polymer chemistries in the same vapor deposition system – color selection is just a matter of choosing the right monomer structure and optimizing the process.
